I just had the sweetest few days in Nashville with my good friend Macey, so I had to share! We both work remotely, and Macey works with hotels to capture content for them, so we got together on Thursday night, worked from Nashville on Friday, then headed back home Saturday afternoon. Keep reading for the recap + get ideas for how to spend 72 hours in Nashville, no Broadway included… this time.
Thursday night

Dinner + drinks at Pastis
We had an 8PM dinner reservation at Pastis, a newer restaurant in town. The reservation was 100% necessary because it was so busy—we weren’t seated until closer to 8:15! The vibes are so fun and bustling, and the decor was sooo cute. We grabbed drinks at the bar while we waited, and for dinner, we both got fries. It’s a French restaurant, so I ordered their onion soup (which was delicious), but Macey won with the bar steak. So good.
Friday
AM pilates at FORME Pilates
I use ClassPass (use my link for 20 free credits if you haven’t tried it!) and love to try out different workouts when I travel. Macey and I both like reformer pilates, so we checked out a cute studio in Brentwood called FORME Pilates. It was about 20 minutes away from our hotel, but I really liked the class and the instructor, so I would definitely book it again.
Coffee + work from La La Land Kind Cafe
La La Land is a super popular LA-based coffee chain that recently opened in Nashville, and after waiting in a fairly long line on Friday morning, I get the hype. I got the banana cloud latte, and it was so incredibly thick and sweet in the best way. I truly missed the coffee as I was drinking it because I knew I couldn’t have it again soon, haha. I would definitely recommend trying this on a weekday, because when we tried to stop by again on Saturday, the line was out-of-this-world.

Lunch at bartaco
I personally make it a mission to stop at bartaco every time I’m in Nashville (since they closed their Birmingham location!). It’s a family-style restaurant, and they recommend ordering a few tacos per person. Macey got the kids’ tacos which is honestly a life hack because they looked delicious for a lower price point!
Afternoon matcha from Deir Cafe
Since we were working on Friday, we stopped at another coffee shop to finish our day. I actually ran into a friend at La La Land and she recommended Deir Café, so that’s where we went. I got the strawberry matcha, and it was super sweet and creamy (reminding me of a strawberry milkshake). I loved it, but I tried Macey’s latte and didn’t love that.
Dinner + drinks
On Friday night we went to a newer Italian spot, but I honestly didn’t love it. It was pretty expensive for not the best quality, IMO!
Saturday
Shop 12South
We were staying at The Gilmore, a newer boutique hotel by Avant Stay, and it was the perfect location for a Saturday shopping through 12South! If you’ve got time to kill and you’re not sure how to spend 72 hours in Nashville, spend a few hours window shopping. There are so many cute stores, both boutiques and name brands you probably know and love. On Saturday morning, there were also tons of flea markets and outdoor shopping booths set up, so we had fun checking those out.

Stop at Earl + the Gallery at Paloma
Macey saw this new coffee spot all over her FYP, so on our way out, we decided to try it! Paloma is this gorgeous warehouse with vintage goods and home decor, and there’s a cute coffee shop that’s serving coffee out of a window. I got an iced vanilla bean cappuccino, and the syrup was so flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend stopping by, even if it’s just to browse.
If you’re looking for ideas for how to spend 72 hours in Nashville, I hope this gave you some inspiration! We had such a chill but fun weekend, and I’m already excited for our next trip together.
