all about autumn // bucket list

happy November! I can’t believe this month is already here – 2016 & my freshman year of college are flying by so fast. I wanted to take a moment to share a few of the things I want to do this November, especially while the weather is this perfect!

  • wear this green skort on repeat. I picked this up on mega sale – $10 from Anthropologie, marked down from $88 (this is literally the only time I’ve ever found anything I liked from Anthro for a price I liked too, so #winning amirite?) Also loving that it’s a skort. I’ve been wanting to try throwback fashion for a while & at this price (& in this color), this is the perfect chance!
  • win (hopefully!) NaNoWriMo. I talked about NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) a bit in my last post & I’m so excited that it’s actually beginning! The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write a novel of at least 50,000 words in the month of November. It’s definitely going to be difficult but I’m attempting it with a friend & I know it will be a great experience.
  • visit Chewacla State Park. Chewacla is a state park near Auburn & I hear the best things about it so I’m excited to finally go with a friend! This is the perfect weather for hiking & going outdoors & I’m definitely itching to get out of my dorm.
  • make caramel apple everything. You know how some people use fall as an excuse to turn everything into Pumpkin Spice? That’s me with caramel apple. This list of caramel apple recipes looks so delicious & makes me excited to go home so I can make them all (I’m especially eyeing the caramel apple coffee cake & the caramel apple taquitos.)
  • spend as much time outside as possible. I’ve gotten into the habit of doing my homework outside & I really want to continue this. It’s so nice to escape my dorm room, bring a cup of coffee & headphones & just sit on a bench outside to get work done. Something about being outside brings out my productivity, especially because when I’m in my dorm room, I’m more than likely taking a nap. (Guilty habit!)
  • read at least four books. I used to read all the time (Sophomore year of high school I read around 80 books!) I still love to read but sometimes I feel like I really don’t have the time. With November being dedicated to NaNoWriMo, I know I’m going to get burnt out on writing, so it’ll be refreshing to take a break from my own words to read someone else’s. Let me know your book recommendations!
