Sunny Days: Spring Break Recap

I am so excited about today’s post because I’m starting a new series, Sunny Days, where I share highlights from my months. Today’s Sunny Days is all about my spring break! This was my first spring break as a college student, which was exciting. I was extremely lucky because I was able to spend four days at the beach with my best friends, some who go to different schools. This was the perfect time to catch up, eat good food, and just have fun! We spent Saturday through Tuesday at the beach, then on Wednesday we drove home which gave us all the perfect amount of time to be with our families and relax too.

Highlights

Before we left, we ate at Crepe Myrtle Cafe in Auburn which is such a cute place. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re ever in the Auburn area. They serve savory and sweet crepes that taste delicious, and the environment feels like a farmer’s market! They sell fresh produce and chickens actually walk around the restaurant (of course I always try to get pictures of them but they’re too fast for me)

We ate out once every day, but my favorite place we ate was The Gulf! (We also ate at Tacky Jack’s and Cosmo’s – both are delicious) The environment was amazing because we ate outside, almost directly on the beach. They have a somewhat limited menu but the burger is delicious and my friends loved the Mahi Mahi tacos. This is my biggest restaurant recommendation, and I love that it’s popular without an insanely long wait.

Because it was chilly while we were there, we only went on the beach once. On the other days, we spent our time in the indoor pools and hot tubs and one day we drove down to Tanger Outlets (amazing shopping & great deals – if you’re near Gulf Shores or Orange Beach and still want to shop, I can’t recommend it enough!) On our last day it was warmer, so we put on our jackets and went down to the beach! We were only there for about an hour and spent the time throwing a football and putting our toes in the water. The picture above is with one of my favorite people and best friends, Marissa. She’s at Florida State University so we had a ton of fun being together for the week!

I hope you enjoyed this short and sweet recap! I can’t wait to share more in the next few months.

xoxo, Cecilia
