Easter Outfit Idea #1

Hey everyone! Easter is right around the corner (which is crazy to me… how is time going so fast?!) so today I thought I’d share my first Easter outfit idea. Normally, my mom and I wear more casual clothes to Church (like jeans and a cute top!) but we love dressing up for Easter. I’m a big fan of planning everything, so you know I love my planning my outfits. This is one outfit idea that would be perfect, plus it uses pieces you may already have in your closet!

the formula: cream dress + green jacket + neutral sandals

For this look, I started with one of my favorite dresses – the cream color is perfect for Easter! Of course I am always cold no matter where I go, so I added my most used green jacket. I love that this look is full of neutral, earthy colors, which is perfect for all the pictures you’ll take with your family! Normally when people think of Easter outfits they think of pastel colors and floral patterns, but because those aren’t my favorite style, this is a great look instead. It combines pieces I would normally wear with neutral colors that will coordinate well with everyone else in your family. Speaking of pictures, how do you get teenage boys to take pictures with you?! I always try to take photos with my brothers but they are so resistant. Here’s hoping they’ll grow out of that!

In the spirit of Easter, I’d love to know your favorite Easter traditions! My family is very casual, so we always have a low-key celebration. Of course, we start the morning by checking our Easter baskets – even though we can’t eat any candy until after lunch! (Speaking of candy, I am obsessed with hollow chocolate bunnies. Like #obsessed.) After Church, my family will go to one of our favorite restaurants with my grandfather and his wife. It’s always so fun to be together and of course, because Lent’s over we all get sodas.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this inspired your Easter outfit planning – I’ll share another idea next week.

xoxo, Cecilia
