My Favorite Magazines

I have a bit of a magazine obsession. My room is full of magazines & I actually consider them decorations. My dream job right now would be to work as an editor at one of my favorite magazines. ((fingers crossed!)) Of course this passion for reading magazines means I have [quite a few] favorites, so today I wanted to share them!

love reading, but sometimes I’m too tired or too busy to start a new novel. When that’s the case, magazines are my go-to. Whether you prefer to flip through the pages quickly or you like to read each and every article, I hope you find a magazine you like on this list! I read a pretty large variety of magazines but today I’m just sharing a few of my favorites that I have found worth paying for a subscription.

Lifestyle

1.) Real SimpleReal Simple is my absolute favorite magazine… and where I want to work one day! The magazine includes fashion, interior design, cooking and so much more. I am not a mom (or anywhere close to being one!) but I find each article so interesting. Side note: I actually use this magazine as decoration. I stack a few of my favorite issues – they’re all so colorful! – on a bookshelf and put my favorite nail polishes on top.

2.) Good Housekeeping: My mom actually subscribes to Good Housekeeping, but I always borrow (aka steal) the issues from her. I enjoy reading Good Housekeeping, but I prefer Real Simple. They offer similar content, so if you’re considering subscribing to a few magazines, I would choose only one at first.

Fashion

3.) Elle: Elle is one of my favorite fashion magazines. I love that this magazine not only includes fashion photography, but also interesting, well-written articles. With Amazon Prime, I was able to get Elle for a reasonable price. I always loved opening my mailbox at Auburn to find a new issue, because it was a nice break from homework.

4.) VogueVogue is obviously a popular magazine, but I don’t actually have a subscription to it. My aunt gave me a dozen of her old magazines, and I loved flipping through the pages. Again, Vogue and Elle are very similar! I personally prefer Elle but both have good content and beautiful photography.

Miscellaneous

5.) bon appétit: I absolutely love flipping through this cooking magazine. One of my [weird] habits is reading cookbooks and even though I’m no cook, I love reading recipes. This magazine includes plenty of recipes along with articles about food – my dream! The magazine is more expensive, so I would take advantage of Amazon deals or one of the magazine’s deals.

6.) Cereal: I actually received an issue of this magazine in a giveaway, and while I don’t think I would pay for a subscription, it was gorgeous. The magazine itself was made of high quality paper and the images and articles were beautiful. Even though I don’t have a coffee table, I already know this will be on it when I do!

What are your favorite magazines? Like I said, I love magazines, so I’m always looking for new ones to read!

xoxo, Cecilia
