It’s a Tuesday night in 2020… and I’m not watching the Bachelorette! I don’t have high hopes for this season, but I’m also not planning on giving up this soon. I’ll definitely be catching up tomorrow, but tonight I hung out with friends at Topgolf right after work. I honestly expected my first few years postgrad to be full of grabbing drinks with friends after work, but with everything going on, that’s a monthly occurrence! Obviously, I want to make sure that I’m wearing one of my favorite outfits! Today I’m sharing my favorite outfit from work to play.

If you’ve read the blog before, checked out my Instagram, or even seen me you know—I love a blazer. I always feel like such a boss when I wear one, and styling them for the weekend is no different. Whenever you have plans right after work, don’t ditch the blazer! Instead, switch out your black pants for casual mom jeans. This simple switch will make for a look that’s perfect for the weekends, or a workwear style if you don’t work in an office with a dress code.

Now that we’ve talked all about work and style, let’s talk about after-work! For the first month or so at my job, I came home and felt so productive. My exhaustion makes it clear that has NOT continued. I don’t know if it’s just that I’ve been busier or maybe because I’m trying to do even more, but life feels so busy—even though I honestly just come home and do work on my computer. I’ve been taking on even more freelance work and trying to spend time on my blog. Truly, I’m not sure how to balance it all with my day job… plus occasional physical activity… plus my monthly after-work plans. Any tips from seasoned postgrads? I am dying to hear!
