Styling a Graphic Sweatshirt Two Ways

Cheers to Friday! This week has been crazy busy, so I’m excited to finally be able to sit down, watch a movie with friends, and write this blog post. Confession: I’m normally not a fan of graphic tees. I went through the phase that I think everyone did in middle school where I loved bright green, peace signs, and way too much glitter… for about a week. Since then, I’ve stayed away from graphic tees because I’m always worried I’ll buy something “trendy” that I won’t love more than a month later.

Enter: this Cheers sweatshirt. I found it on sale at Target (like $5 sale) and was immediately loving the blush. I have been all about light pink, rosy tones recently! The graphic sweatshirt reminded me so much of those Wildfox sweatshirts you always see that retail for around $40 and up, so I thought this sale was the perfect opportunity to try the style. If you want to try the trend, look for simple statements like this and a simple color scheme. Pick up a graphic sweatshirt and try one of these ways to style it!

Look 1

Switch up your usual sweatshirt and leggings for this look! Pair your sweatshirt with white jeans and a statement necklace. This look is unexpected and a fun option for a Saturday shopping with friends or Sunday lunch with your family. If the weather has been chilly and breezy, choose this!

Look 2

You know I love a casual look, and this is the perfect lazy Friday class option! This pullover is lightweight enough that you could pair it with shorts as I did – you’ll be warm in the morning when it’s cool, but you won’t sweat when the sun comes out. This outfit feels so sassy but wearable, and it means you’ll get more wear out of your clothing.

I hope this post inspired you to go back to your middle school days and try out a graphic shirt!

xoxo, Cecilia
