a few good things + gift guides under $20

happy Thursday! life is so good right now, so I thought I’d share a list of a few good things that are putting a smile on my face… hopefully they bring a smile to yours too!

  • finals are over, which means I can go to Starbucks for my favorite drink (a caramel macchiato, please and thank you!) and spend hours working on my blog, writing… anything other than schoolwork! this first semester was great but I’m so excited to have this long break.
  • this camel coat is my absolute new favorite. well, it’s not really new… I bought it last year but didn’t wear it until this year. I think it looks so great (plus it’s under $30 right now!) – I love the color, the shape, and of course how warm it feels. you guys know how obsessed I am with comfy cardigans, but this jacket pulls any outfit together.
  • currently reading: my true love gave to me, a collection of twelve holiday stories from twelve amazing authors (including my favorite, Rainbow Rowell!) if you’re looking for a fun but easy read over the holidays, I definitely recommend checking this book out!
  • a few mini holiday gift guides below! for those veerrry last minute gifts – don’t worry, I won’t tell if you don’t. all of these gifts are less than $20 which means they’re perfect for every girl on a budget (aka every girl… amirite?!)

gifts for the beauty-lover

give your friend the gift of relaxation by pairing a few face masks (buy a few cheap ones from target for less than $2 each!) with one of these items and your gift will be thoughtful, useful & so appreciated.

gifts for the girl obsessed with jewelry

when buying jewelry, I think it’s always best to stick with simple pieces (unless you know your friend is obsessed with statement necklaces!) that can be paired with anything. a clean gold necklace will go with any girl’s current taste or a pair of stud earrings will become her go-to!

gifts for when you have no idea what to give

we’ve all been there… maybe it’s a coworker, a new friend, or even a relative, but you just have no idea what she wants! when this is the case, I like to stick to pretty candles (go for a simple scent that most people like to stay safe!), fun journals & coffee table books, and some fun decor. no matter what, she’ll appreciate the thought & you’ll appreciate that the gift was less than $20!

I hope you all enjoyed this list of what I’ve been loving + hopefully you find the gift guides helpful! when in doubt, I always add a handwritten note on a pretty card to show the receiver what they mean to me. this simple gesture makes your gift stand out even more! and of course, don’t forget to make the same gesture when you write thank you cards for all the great gifts you receive!

xoxo, Cecilia
