2018 Favorites

The end of the year means it’s time for a post full of my 2018 favorites! I love reading other favorites posts because it’s such a great way to be nosy… in a socially acceptable way.

Beauty Favorites

  1. e.l.f. Poreless Face Primer: Even if I wear no other makeup, this primer + a little powder are my favorite. It’s the perfect base for your makeup, and at only $6 it’s worth trying out! e.l.f has a ton of different primers, but this one is my personal favorite.
  2. e.l.f. Baked Highlighter & Blush in Rose Gold: More e.l.f. because I am ballin on a budget! This has been a recent favorite, because it gives a glow that hopefully distracts from having oily skin.
  3. Almay Goddess Gloss in Flame: I received this lip gloss in a sponsored campaign with the InfluenceHer Collective Essentials Kit, and I love it. This color is my favorite, and I’ve been wearing it in almost every blog photo shoot.

Fashion Favorites

Madewell Pocket Tee ($19.50): I am OBSESSED with this tee – it’s my favorite golden mustard color and it fits so well. It’s amazing for layering and I wear it way too often. See it styled here.

Old Navy Blue Sweater ($34.99): I bought this sweater at the outlets by the beach over Christmas break, and I am so excited to wear it during this season! It’s a thin knit that’s warm enough for Alabama weather but it will be easy to add a vest or jacket to when it’s colder.

Old Navy Suede Skirt (on sale for $19.97): This may have been my best purchase of 2018. It is SO comfy and incredibly versatile. I’ve styled it with simple tees, sweaters, and different layers, and I’ve loved each look. See it styled here.

Sugarfix by BaubleBar Statement Necklace (on sale for $9.99): I’m normally not a huge statement necklace person – gives me flashbacks to those big bubble necklaces that were popular in middle school! But I won this necklace in a giveaway and have worn it SO much… Even if I hadn’t won it, it would be worth the $20, and definitely the $10 on sale. It’s a statement necklace that goes with so many different outfits because it’s white instead of brightly colored!

2018 has been a big year of growth, for me and my blog. Not every day is sunny, but every day is a chance to accept that and to find joy even in the chaos or pain. I’ve grown in confidence in myself and in my personal style, but I have high hopes that 2019 will be even better.

xoxo, Cecilia
